“We were delighted when we had the opportunity to work with Nequette’s team on three homes for people with autism”
. . .
“From the initial meeting through the opening in January 2018, the entire team took great lengths to assess the unique needs of the 16 people who would be living in these homes we call The Hope Cottages.
In the first meeting, Louis walked the property to envision where three homes might be situated that would incorporate the current surroundings such as the homes and natural environment. These homes are specifically designed for adults and young adults in residential programs to allow those on severe end of the autism spectrum to live as independently as possible. While the homes allow for private space, beautiful common areas are built in such as the living/eating area. We love the patio area that is in the middle of the three homes. It feel like an extension off of the screened in porches of each of the homes that come together to provide quality time each of the homes. The seating, the fire pit and the pavilion are enjoyed by the people who live in the homes and their family and friends when they visit.
Everyone who visits the homes is amazed at how beautiful they are. We proudly tell them that the people we serve deserve beautiful homes. The homes truly strengthen life for the people who live in them, and for their families who have comfort of knowing they have a comfortable , lovely home. We truly enjoyed the collaborations with Louis Nequette Architecture & Design and know that those we serve are living better lives because of their expertise and attention to every detail.
