In 2007, Nequette designed its first cottage community in Auburn, Alabama – a thoughtfully planned neighborhood that brought together the character of Craftsman-style architecture with the comforts of modern living. The community features a diverse collection of 1–5-bedroom residences, from standalone cottages and duplexes to multi-family buildings, all centered around a resort-style clubhouse amenity.

At the heart of the community is a custom stone clubhouse featuring a state-of-the-art fitness center, complemented by a stunning three-tiered resort-style pool that remains a favorite gathering place during the warmer months. Together, these amenities create a setting that encourages both everyday living and connection among residents.

Nearly two decades later, the community continues to demonstrate the enduring value of thoughtful design. What was once a newly planted landscape has matured into a lush, vibrant neighborhood. Tree-lined streets now frame the cottages, creating a welcoming canopy of greenery and reinforcing the walkable, established character envisioned from the beginning.

The result is a community where timeless architecture, modern amenities, and a landscape that has grown richer with time come together to create a place that remains as functional and beautiful today as it was when first conceived.
